Review :: NEW Physician's Formula Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Jumbo Lash Mascara Results Are In

A couple weeks ago, after reading a comment left on our Best In Natural Beauty Makeup Awards that Physician's Formula had recently launched their new Organic Wear Jumbo Lash mascara, I shared that little fact with all of you and that I was on the hunt for it.  I checked Walgreens, Kroger, - nada.  I finally decided to look where I normally wouldn't - KMart. Yesterday morning I ventured into my local store and lo and beyond - I finally spotted the glistening green tubes.  I quickly grabbed one of the "Ultra Black Organics" (color) like I was on a covert mission and speed-walked to checkout. $9.49 before tax.  A little cheaper than it was listed online - $9.95.  I made it safely back to the car and inspected the package - front, back, top, bottom.  Operation OWJL Mascara Search sucessfully completed.

Organic Wear Jumbo Lash found @ WalMart for $8.74

But I couldn't stop there. I had an urge to find out if WalMart had it in stock as well so I drove to the other side of town and braved the nauseous lighting so I could tell you all where else you might be able to find it and how much it was. I did indeed find it in stock at WalMart - a tad cheaper than KMart. But soon after that it was time for me to head home. I hit my big box store threshold for the day and I knew it was time to get outta there lest I get grumpy.
Got home, headed to the bathroom, removed eye makeup using my super cheap and easy eye makeup remover method, re-applied undereye & on-top-of-lids concealer (Sante brand), re-applied eyeliner and finally brushed on the Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara.  Then I went about my business for the rest of the day - grocery shopping, running errands, playing with the dogs outside, blogging, cleaning, making dinner, etc, etc.

100% Recyclable Eco-Brush

This version produces much more volume that the original Organic Wear Mascara and I like that it can be layered to pump up the volume (yes, I grew up in the 80s) as desired (i.e. 1 coat for day, 2 for night).  I also like that it doesn't have any fragrance or irritate my eyes.  Unlike most natural mascaras out there, this does not smudge or give me racoon eyes like many of them out there.  By midnight when I went to remove my makeup before bed (you all do this - right? right??) I noticed the teeniest tiniest little flakes and there were only 3 of them total - not bad especially after 12 hours of wear!! And they were only noticeable when I was about 1 inch away from the mirror.

The brush is made of plastic and the bristles are shorter than most but that doesn't seem to matter.  The 1 inch brush and paper box packaging looks like the only thing that is recyclable. The big shiny green tube? Not sure. There's no mention of it being recyclable so that usually means notsomuch. Gotta work on that PF!  The thing it does have going for it is that it's flashy green tube looks nothing like any other mascara tube out there so it's easy to identify but not quite sure if it looks cool or tacky in my Christy Coleman Makeup Bag (its very plastic-y in a child's toy sort of way, so I lean towards the former).  But back to performance - Bottom line: Had I experienced this mascara before we awarded the Best in Natural Beauty Awards For Makeup, it totally would have been awarded!  For me, this takes the place of their original formula.  For price & performance, I know of nothing that comes close.  I'll definitely buy this again.
