Review :: Ayala's USDA Certified Organic Herbal Water Infused With Culinary Herbs

Wow, we love this stuff! A box of Ayala's Herbal Water arrived on our doorstep yesterday and we cannot stop sipping. With six mouthwatering natural flavors to chose from, it's difficult to pinpoint a favorite {though Ginger Lemon Peel + Lemongrass Mint Vanilla are ranking very high at the moment}. If you need a little flavor in your beverages sans sugar, artificial flavor and calories, check out Herbal Water. These tasty thirst~quenchers were created by Ayala Laufer Cahana, M.D., a pediatrician, lifelong vegetarian and herbal connoisseur, who began making these delicious, culinary~inspired waters for family + friends. The natural ingredients were inspired by Dr. Ayala's own herb garden and years of experimenting to create the delicious recipes to please an array of palates. The company was started to share her own personal healthy practices and professional experience with obesity in children. She graduated from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem (Hadassah Medical School), did her pediatrics residency at Hadassah, and trained in genetics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Personally, it makes us cringe to see a child {or worse yet, a baby} sucking down a caffeinated, high fructose corn syrup~laced beverage or an ultra~sugary "juice" drink. When sugary drinks are combined with nutrition~less food + snacks, it's really no wonder the U.S. has the highest obesity rate in children or that Ritalin is so readily prescribed, it might as well be stocked in school vending machines.

By true definition, water in it's entirety cannot be "organic" since it is not grown. Herbal Water is filtered via reverse osmosis, and the part that is "organic" is the organic extracts used to flavor the water. Herbal Water flavors take water up a notch and leaves typical unhealthy ingredients in the dust. If you're one who doesn't prefer plain water and/or you're either trying to lose weight or be more conscious of what you put in your body, find out where you can get your hands on Herbal Water near you. Of course you can make your own herb infused water at home, but when we're running errands or stop at a cafe for lunch, it sure would be nice to have an ultra healthy option that tastes ultra delish! Throw one in your gym bag, pack them in the kid's lunches, keep on hand at work or offer them at your next beach bash or pool party...perfect!

All 6 flavors are best ice cold:

Ginger Lemon Peel: so refreshing + invigorating, a citrus celebration

Lemongrass Mint Vanilla: reminds us a bit of Sprite, sans carbonation + sugar...yum

Lavender Mint: very mild herbal flavor with just a hint of mint aftertaste

Cloves Cardamon Cinnamon: reminds us of Fall, comforting + soothing

Cinnamon Orange Peel: a perfect blend of sweet + spice

Lemon Verbena Geranium: intense + bright, we love it, but you've got to be prepared for the perfumey aftertaste of geranium. Tastes just like the flower smells and reminds me of an organic skin care range I recently used that was packed full of geranium, an herb that is highly beneficial to the skin.

Ayala's Herbal Water is the first nationally available organically certified enhanced flavored water made with organic ingredients.
