Alima Pure Giveaway :: Win $50 Worth Of Gorgeous, BDIH-Certified Mineral Makeup Just In Time For The Holidays! **UPDATED: CONTEST OVER**

Alima Pure is giving one of our lucky readers TWO of their just released Gift Sets valued at $72. So if you want to freshen up your look for all the upcoming holiday soirees or gift this to a very special someone, jump in for your chance to win! And in case you missed it, I reviewed Alima's fab blush back in September here and I'm using their Mauna Loa bronzer right now and loving it! E is currently using their eyeshadow and once again, it's a hit! (And everything I've received has arrived beautifully packaged too).

What you'll get...

Act I Gift Set includes: Four coordinated shadows to create sculpted and smoky looks for the eye.

Lana – a dusting of creamy shimmer with the graceful whisper of pink to swath the lid in sparkle

Ingrid – a pearly taupe to deepen contrast and provide depth and drama

Ava – pure sterling silver, sparkly and rich for true movie star sheen

Bette – a deep, velvety blue with hints of silver to add mystery

Act II Gift Set includes: All you need to create classic contoured cheekbones updated for natural, everyday wear

Harlow – a softly pearled highlighter with no obvious shimmer to brighten the skin and illuminate facial structure

Garbo – matte, neutral brown to create depth and drama with subtle contouring

Leigh – a beautiful, neutral rose; nearly matte but with the hint of copper shimmer to create the perfect starlet glow

Each holiday gift collection retails for $25 (a $36 value) and $2 from the sale of each will be donated to the Global Fund for Women. The line also carries the European BDIH “Certified Natural Cosmetics” seal which guarantees that it’s safe for both the body and the environment.

How to win... Contest has ended.

1). Visit Alima Pure and return here to leave a comment on this post about what you'd love to try, what you like (if you've used them), what you learned or why not all mineral makeup is created equal. That's it, your name is in the hat!

For additional chances to win:

2). Sign up for our email updates or our RSS feed (in the right column). If you signed up for emails, you do not need to let us know you did (we know), but you will need to confirm your subscription to make it active (you'll get a confirmation email from Feedburner). If you signed up for our RSS feed, please let us know in the comments section. This will give you a second entry into the contest. If you're already subscribed to either one of these, you do not need to do it again.

3). For a third chance to win, blog about our contest and include the link in the comments.

Contest ends at 5:00 p.m. PST on Sunday, 11/16/08. The winner will be randomly selected via http://www.random.org/ and will be announced on Monday, 11/17/08. If you leave your email address, we'll contact you by email if you're the winner. If you do not leave your email address, be sure to return here on Monday, the 17th to find out if you won. If you do not reply within 5 days, we will draw straws again and your prize will be forfeited (sorry). *U.S. residents only*

I learned that there are some truly nasty chemicals in a lot of cosmetics. It is hard to believe! For example, the "D and C Colorants" are toxic to the nervous and reproductive system.

That being said, I want to try everything from Alima! Especially the Black Cherry eyeliner. It is great that they are cruelty free as well!

I have not tried Alima but I was very exited when I read the last post about them. I would love to try everything, especially the concealer and any of the shadows. I am also looking to change all of my makeup to something I know doesn't contain harmful ingredients! Shadows are one thing I have not switched yet because it's hard to replace all of my colors affordably.

ALl the products look great but I'm really drawn to the beautiful colors in the luminous shimmer blushes.

I have always heard of Alima, but have yet to try any of their products. If given the opportunity I would love to try the Satin Matte Foundation, Nourishing Lipbalm, and of course a ton of other things. I know that not all mineral makeup is created equal because I have seen a lot of mineral makeups containing talc and a bunch of other ingredients that I would not put on my face because I know it is terribly bad. The fewer ingredients the better in my opinion, but of course you still have to watch out for those bad things. Well, thanks S & E for putting on this giveaway and best of luck to all!!!

Corrine said...

I'd love to try Alima Pure because I'm trying to replace all my Clinique and Lancome products with natural ones and Alima Pure sounds like a really great company. I'm also searching for the perfect shadows to make the perfect smokey eye. I'd love to try the shimmer eyeshadow in smoke!

Now that we've accepted that gifts are the center of christmas, deciding what to give and how to get it comfortably and affordably deserves some reflection, especially considering that there are only 39 shopping days left until christmas."Giving presents is a talent;to know what a person whats,to know
when and how to get it,to give it lovingly and well.We should remember that christmas is not all about gifts about about uncondional love,selflessness.trust.faith.forgiveness.wholeness.compassion.second chances.comfort joy.peace.reassurance.rejoicing.generosity.chartity.wonder.hope.accpetance.courage.This is my letter to the world.

Let's give something that is given to us and we will save life and give each other a change of new start to a new whole of this thing we call life..

I liked the whole line..I will be grateful for anything I can win.I enjoy the gift collections. If I win it I shall give it to a person..with a heart who can't afford to look beautyful even thru she is..with or without makeup..She lives in a homeless shelter is looking for work..I would love to give her something that will make her feel more confident..

Merry christmas to whole winner lineups.

I'd love to try the Satin Matte foundation. I've used Bare Minerals and PUR mineral foundations before and I love them, however, Bare Minerals doesn't blend well for me--it gives me a powdery look. PUR blends in and looks more natural, but it's quite a bit heavier than the BM. I was actually thinking of shopping around and trying something new just to see if there was anything better out there.
